I am sure that is the reason some are voting for him. For the simple fact that they saw him play and know who he is. Not everyone follows the prospects that closely. It is probably why players like Kulak and Culkin aren't getting any love. They are better prospects, but they aren't front of mind right now so many casual fans don't know enough to vote for them. (I don't mean that as an insult. Some just spend more time following prospects then others).

I still have Hanowski pretty high up on my list though. I have Culkin, Kulak, Ferland, Ortio, and Byron (why isn't he on the list) ahead of him. But I still have him ahead of decent prospects like Kanzig. He is a power forward with a lot of energy and potentially some offensive upside. He is also a RW. Those types of players are hard to find.

Any prospect being ranked in the mid 20's is a long shot. I agree his skating needs work. But it isn't like he is being ranked in the top 10. If he can fix his skating (very possible) he has a great skill set.
