At least that was my impression of Hanowski. I also think people are praying that he turns out because he was part of the Iggy trade.

Whether you liked his performance or not, he's far closer to playing for the Flames than any other player still on the list. Most of them will be lucky to get 5 NHL games. I don't think anyone is praying that he turns out, he's just the best option left on the list.
