Ah, so you're admitting that the title of this article "Kipper is retiring", which you requested to be qualified as 'rumour' is actually not a rumour at all, but rather a fact, as Kipper has indeed said he is retired (or retiring, if you prefer).
You've suddenly changed this from rumour vs. fact, to "retiring vs. retired".
