Not what I meant; by "top of page" I meant, for example, if the most recent thread in Food was "Awesome Calgary Restaurant", I would only click on it because it is the most recent thread, and shows up as I scroll down in the main OT forum, not because I was going into the Food subforum.
As such, I rarely go into threads in the subforums, but the travel thread solution adopted is definitely not what I was thinking...just makes things worse, and doesn't even give you a taste of what is contained within, its just a repository of links, of which could be discovered through an internal search, or a google search of Calgarypuck.
If the intent is to stop duplicate threads that clutter OT occasionally, you're basically cluttering up OT indefinitly to stop an occasional dupe thread.
