Let's say I had 12 year old outstanding fines in Sault Ste Marie for driving while not licensed and for being without insurance, and at that time had racked up fines totally just over $6000. They were never paid and I was never licensed since.

If I were to move to Alberta, would that prior incident darken my chances to get licensed there or would I have to pay my Ontario fines first?
