which is just about exactly what one would expect statistically (50% 1st, 25% 2nd, 10% in 3rd-5th rounds)

The Stats get skewed because the Flames have had the 3 1st round picks who haven't had the chance to disappoint yet. -- 5 1st round picks in the last 3 years. The Flames have had 3 2nd round picks in the last 3 years 2 of which are in the top 10.
The only guy picked in the 1st 2 rounds that is not a top 10 prospect is Granlund.
If this poll was done August 2012 ----
There would only be 2 1st round picks and 3 second round picks as Granlund would have made the top 10 plus
2 of Rienhart (3rd round), Horak (5th round) and Bouma (3rd round) would have filled in the other 2 top 10 spots
So the top 11 would be:
1st round 2
2nd round 3
3rd round 3
4th round 1
5th round 2
