Syndication rights, reruns, time slot, merchandising etc. all need to be accounted for when comparing it to non-reality shows but I would guess it's bringing in enough cash that it's here for awhile.

The overhead costs for BB are miniscule compared to sitcoms or even other reality shows like Survivor that travel to exotic places or these talent shows that pay the celebrity judges $$$. All the money they make likely goes straight to profit and since Julie Chen is married to CBS President I think it would have to struggle pretty bad to get the axe.
Given that the show is doing pretty well how about finally upgrading to HD cameras as it is 2013 now.
