Well, let's consider this. The average number of workdays in a full month (assuming full time work) is about 21. That means, post tax, you need to earn about 145 per day. Assuming consistent 8 hour work days, that's 17.45 dollars per hour.
The minimum wage in Alberta is $9.05 per hour if your establishment sells alcoholic beverages. That means the rest, assuming absolutely no tax, is $8.40 per hour in tips. This doesn't seem likely in my mind.

Which lists the mean take home as about $9.75/hour. Even a couple years out of date, that seems like bit of a stretch to make $17.45/hour.
Increasing the number of hours worked per week may alter this slightly, but not enough. Even if you work 10 hour days, that's still ~$14/hour.
I get within range of that number if I plug in all days of a month as work days plus working 10 hour days ($10/hour)
