Hanowski's game isn't really about controlling the puck so it's not a fair comparison to emphasize that. He's more about using his body to retrieve pucks or to get in front of the net when needed. Lots of useful players don't show particularly well in skill-heavy sessions like development camp. Hanowski seems to be working hard at improving as his skating noticeably improved in a relatively short time coming into development camp and he lost a good bit of weight. I do think he'll land in the AHL this season. However, if he keeps working hard and improving he can be a full-time NHL'er soon enough.

I don't know where he'll end up but i like the fact that he played some NHL games, identified an area to improve (quickness) and did something about it. Drive and self-improvement can take you a long way....
