Right now on Bell the US data rate is $6 per MB. Or if you want to pre-pay you can get 100MB for $40. So compared to those- $8 per day for 50 MB per day is reasonable.
Last week I had to turn on my data roaming to use Apple Maps. That one lookup only used 160 kb, however it cost me $1. To be able to just use my phone would be worth the price. I know that compared to my 6GB for $30 at home it's still expensive, but it's at least within reason.
I looked into the T-mobile sim, but then I need an unlocked phone. I haven't had luck with finding a reasonably priced unlocked phone, and Bell are being jerks about unlocking my phone.
