Is this a perception that streets arent safe for women at night or is it based in fact. From what I understand most rapes occur by someone known to the victim and not the random stranger looking for a defenseless women. I dont want to minimize anything but does the level of fear correlate with the risk? I have done a little looking for statistics but have found nothing concrete.
