But hey at least those scrubs Butler and Byron got taken care of . Priorities are over looked thing.
And yes i know the sky is falling BS posts will mock this one but take notice this Brodie not coming to a simple contract is a reflection on how Feaster is as a GM and how the Flames ownership are looking at dealing with young player's going forward that are the next core.
Good luck attracting any meaningful UFA's next season and if Feaster, King and Edwards have not taken notice all teams are locking up their core players. Quality UFA's are going to become very slim pickings next season.
Feaster's stategy of save now is going to cost him much more higher of caphit for Brodie in 2 seasons. They will lose when he asks for bigger money and a longer deal then and they will be unwilling to negotiate that next contract.

You are entitled to your opinion, but in my view that is a sky is falling argument. There is no way of knowing how the negotiations are going.
It is not a simple contract, there is plenty of time to have a deal done, I have heard nothing about a potential riff between Brodie and the flames and I don't think it reflects positively or negatively on Feaster (until we see the actual terms).
