And yes i know the sky is falling BS posts will mock this one but take notice this Brodie not coming to a simple contract is a reflection on how Feaster is as a GM and how the Flames ownership are looking at dealing with young player's going forward.
Good luck attracting any meaningful UFA's next season and if Feaster, King and Edwards have not taken notice all teams are locking up their core players. Quality UFA's are going to become very slim pickings next season.
Feaster's stategy of save now is going to cost him much more higher of caphit for Brodie in 2 seasons. They will lose when he asks for bigger money and a longer deal then and they will be unwilling to negotiate that next contract.
Can you provide more information on how the negotiations are going and what each side's positions are? I missed that part
