Bouma was highly regarded by his team mates on the Giants. Good leadership ability. Decent 2-way play with some grit. I still unsure what he really brings on the Flames, but hopefully this season he will get a chance to show management why he belongs on the big club.
Interesting that Bancks has seemingly rejected his qualifying offer. Perhaps they have agreed to it in principle, and are just waiting to sign it? I definitely want him signed and back on the Heat, and maybe given the 'C'. I can't think of another Heat player that is as much of a 'heart and soul' guy. I can't see him turning down the QO, but I guess we will know soon enough.

Uhhh... This guy does not deserve a C over the likes of Ben Street and possibly others. Furthermore, this guy is lucky just getting a qualifying offer. There were big expectations of or "hope" for Bancks, even from myself, all of which has disapeared..
