From what I remember hearing them talk about the gist was that if Gaudreau goes back for his 4th year at BC it's more then likely he will go the Schultz route and sign as a UFA close to home such as Boston or New York. Went on to mention how you could pass up on playing against the best talent in the world after dominating the college ranks and making millions of dollars... If he does this for his 4th year the suggestion was the Flames would be much better off trading him then holding onto him. That's pretty much what I heard before I went inside to Mcdonalds to get my Big Mac meal. Take it for what it's worth
