Feaster and Weisbroad contemplated trading the Jankowski pick but it is safe to assume they were targeting young center Lyle Turris with that trade. Flames were rumored to be in on Turris all season and Phoenix likely wanted out 1st back considering we had little to no prospects to offer
Also Chirelli flat out told the media the 1st in the Iggy deal was guaranteed and not conditional. The flames going after RoR was one last ditch effort at going all in and luckily it didn't work out. This team is committed to the rebuild and are not moving their own first round picks for quite some time
