The one thing that I think makes him look unimpressive at times is his "effortlessness". He does appear to always be floating around at times and not giving 110% but that may be due to his hockey IQ. Don't have to work as hard if you are always in a good position.
Still if he wants to be an NHLer he needs to show more drive, be more assertive, and learn how to use his size effectively.
Big leaps from him in the last year and I thought he was one of the best players for team black in the third period today.

I would agree. Jankowski finds open ice well but looks like he's gliding. He communicates well, you could hear him yelling to his teammates from the stands.
