The one thing that I think makes him look unimpressive is his "effortlessness". He does appear to always be floating around at times and not giving 110%.
If he wants to be an NHLer he needs to show more drive, be more assertive, and learn how to use his size effectively.

Maybe that "effortlessness" is it. It's just every time I saw Monahan and Gaudreau completely dominate team Black, Jankowski would be on the ice against them looking like he was lost. It possibly could be because those two are that good together and Jankowski didn't have chemistry with any guys he was playing with. Who knows, but it did seem as though Monahan and Gaudreau were miles ahead of Jankowski in my opinion.
I will admit though, I didn't watch the third period, so things could have changed then.
