After Gaudreau, Monahan, Granlund and Baertschi, Jankowski was undoubtedly the next best looking forward in this camp. He's where we should hope for him to be at 18 years old (keep in mind he was only 17 when drafted). I was impressed with him today. Definitely has a couple things to work on, namely maintaining focus with the puck and protecting a bit better, but he was dominant late in the scrimmage. I don't know what you're smoking if you don't see anything in this kid. He may not excite me quite like Gaudreau, but he plays a different game. And still has plenty of finesse despite his size. I still see top 6 C potential in him, no doubt. It just might take him a bit longer (21+) before cracking the lineup.
