I like that Granlund played his way into the conversation of making the big club. He's been a favorite of mine since he was drafted. His big brother may have had the big ticket moniker attached to him at the draft, but Markus has quietly gone about his business and is coming from essentially out of nowhere pushing for some recognition. Not sure why they decided to split him and Sven at the beginning of the game.

My first real good look at Monahan today. Really impressed with his awareness and movement. The chemistry is there is Gaudreau which was awesome to watch. He pulled a nice 360 wide legged spin in the corner in the second that opened up the ice that impressed me.

Ramage, Wotherspoon and Seiloff were great today. Even with the missed mega hit that almost killed Poirier by Ramage doesn't change that. Whoever #63 in Black was, he was good as well. Trey Lewis was noticeable in a good way. A couple nicely blocked shots.

The Harrison hit on Sven was big but looked very clean to me. Sven just got planted. His reaction was surprising but I get why he got upset. Still though, those are the kind of hits he sees in the NHL and has to deal with it better.

Harrison really did show why he was picked even though it was from the depths of obscurity. Has the heart and the drive to be a good pro when his time comes.

Jankowski looks good but you can tell this year is going to be very important for his development. I suspect when we see him next summer there is going to be a massive improvement.
