Seems like there's always a player like Shinkaruk who falls from a top 5 spot entering the year to a mid or late 1st position at the actual draft, but I can't think of many like Drouin who do the inverse.

Thomas Hickey comes to mind, though he shouldn't have been taken 4th overall.
Jeff Skinner came from nowhere to 7th overall in 2010.
