IMO the NHL is now built on depth and none of the successful team have that true Iginla type face.
Who is the face of the Blackhawks? Toews? Kane? Keith?
Face of the Bruins? Bergeron? Chara? Krejci? Lucic?
Face of the Kings? Kopitar? Doughty? Brown? Quick? Richards?
Hell look back at the 1989 team. Who was the face of that team? MacInnis? Niewy? Gilmour? Mullen? #9
My hope is that we build a solid roster that doesn't rely on having a face.

To me all of those teams have/had "a guy".
Weather the guy was the best player, the best leader, the most clutch, or had the most Storied career, or they were just the first super star to get there. Those are the faces we would all identify with those teams. Hence "Face of the Franchise".
