I hope the group of 18-22 year old players in our prospect base right now end up defining this generation of the franchise, and in a good way unlike the "young guns" era.
IMO the NHL is now built on depth and none of the successful team have that true Iginla type face.
Who is the face of the Blackhawks? Toews? Kane? Keith?
Face of the Bruins? Bergeron? Chara? Krejci? Lucic?
Face of the Kings? Kopitar? Doughty? Brown? Quick? Richards?
Hell look back at the 1989 team. Who was the face of that team? MacInnis? Niewy? Gilmour? Mullen?
My hope is that we build a solid roster that doesn't rely on having a face.

I agree, but it wouldn't bother me if Player A became the face of the franchise and the rest of these prospects were all very good who could also be considered the face of the franchise individually or collectively if Player A wasn't around.
