Berra was a huge standout for me in the morning session. His experience and age definitely stood out between the 3 goalies. Great lateral movement for a big guy. Takes a ton of space up in the net and stays square to the shooter. Didn't allow very many pucks to get behind him.
Ferland had a good session too. He is very animated on the ice, lots of talking and communication on drills. Doesn't seem like a quiet guy, which is definitely something this organization needs. Used his size well, decent skater. Has a very good shot release.
Howse stood out as a guy who just didn't belong. The skating drills at the beginning were very telling that he needs some serious work. Didn't look comfortable in them at all, and seemed slow at best. No agility, slow footwork. Most camp invitees looked in better shape. You would think for his age and experience at the pro level he would be ahead of the curve, but that simply wasn't the case. He just doesn't bust his a** the way he should.
Also Horak has switched to #21. He looked like the most experienced player on the ice. No surprise there.
