but seriously it shows they were unable/unwilling to work out deals for these guys, you have to think their tight internal budget plays a significant role in this as last summer and after the lockout it seemed like their RFAs (Bogo and Kane at least) just couldn't agree to terms in a timely manner, this year their RFAs happen to have arbitration rights. |
Are you serious? It's a negotiation, and it takes a lot of time to happen. Lots of teams don't discuss until the season is over and even then they are working on UFA and Draft day. Electing to go to arbitration is part of the process.
