I like Perron, but he has gone through injuries in the past, and really is he the the type of players the Oilers should be targeting? They really should be taking Yakupov or Nugent Hopkins and try to swing a deal for Subban in Montreal or Yandle in Phoenix.
Right now they are below average in goaltending, and probably have a bottom 10 defensive core in the league. They remind me a lot of the Flyers from last year actually; great top six, but lacking pretty much in every department.
They still won't finish ahead of LA, or probably San Jose and Anaheim. Which means they'll be competing against Vancouver and teams from the other division for the last couple playoff spots.
