Here's Perron's PPG numbers
2007-08 - 0.44
2008-09 - 0.62
2009-10 - 0.57
2010-11 - mostly injured
2011-12 - 0.74
2012-13 - 0.52
He's basically stagnated and will probably miss a few games and put up around 40 points. People who think the Oilers got a steal probably are thinking of Perron's high draft position and pre-injury hype.
He's a 2nd liner at best, 3rd liner at worst, and will spend time on the IR. Remember the Oilers have the worst medical staff in the NHL.
