Perron isn't middle of the road at all. He had injuries derail the 2 seasons prior to last, but before that he was on the verge of breaking out and becoming a dominant player. It's awesome that he was "just about to break out" but having seen plenty of guys just about to break out not actually do it I will wait until he does before calling him more than a middle of the road player.

He will need to improve a ton to be close to a Hart level player in this league. He is 25 not 18 and the injuries have been one part of him not reaching that level.

I think he is very similar although not as good as Hemsky who it seems he will replace and he is not tougher than Hall or Yakupov and on the same level as Eberle of guys who try but just aren't strong enough to do much.
