If I was the Oilers I would be using assets like MPS and a 2nd to try and improve defense or toughness/defense on the top 6. In Perron they are adding more of the same of an offensive guy with questions about his overall game and is a 2nd line guy on a team with a ton of 2nd line wingers already.

This I get but Perron is tougher than any oiler in that top 6 so instant upgrade IMO.
