The reason I ask the years; if you are comparing a 1997 model to a 1985 model; I might also looks for the one that looks like it was maintained better. But comparing a 2007 to a 1995 is a very different story.
Don't worry about feeling cheap; I think all of us here have experienced the sticker shock and/or buyer's remorse at some point with our trailers. If you can get a better deal that suits your needs- go for it.
The other thing to consider- tank capacities. One of the reasons I went with my current trailer is it holds 50 gallons of fresh water. Most others in the same class held around 20 gallons. They count the 6 gallons in your water heater into that total; and you can never really get that out without draining the heater. So subtract 6 gallons from your useable amount. That would have left me with 14 gallons instead of 44; which is quite significant.
