Criminal gangs won't just throw up their arms and give up if you legalize drugs, they'll just refocus on other ways to make money. Or they'll pound down the prices via the supply end and transport end. Or they'll find something more potent, or they'll sell guns and other stuff. As much as people think that legalizing drugs will make these criminal organizations go away, I think its a little naive.

I am completely content with the legalization of grass. Not so much of the super destructive drugs like Crystal Meth, and crack and cheap drugs that are popular with the more money handicapped social level. In fact if you suddenly have the government go into that business and make it hyper cheap I don't think your going to help the really desparate and sick, you're going to as a government enable them.

Personally I think with the more hideous drugs like Crystal Meth and crack and other ones, where the dealers are pretty much predators feeding on the desperate, the sick and the stupid. A bullet in the head or a swim in a piranha tank would be prefereable, hard drug dealers are miserable examples of humanity that are willing to poison people for profit. They have no use in society.

And I know I'm going over the top with the bullet in the back of the head etc. I would be all for giving them a one chance short prison term where rehabilitation and skill training is the goal, but the second time, there's lots of real estate in the far arctic and we wouldn't need that many guards or prison staff.
