Depends on how old the player is 2 years after being drafted. If the player will be 20 years old or older that calendar year 2 years after being drafted then they will become UFA's as they are too old to re-enter the draft. For example both Baertschi and Monahan would have been or will be UFA's if unsigned 2 years after being drafted.

So players with late Sept to Dec birthdates would be UFA's 2 years after being drafted. Players with birthdates from Jan to early Sept who are drafted in their first year of eligibility would re-enter the draft if unsigned after 2 years.
