He's a top 20 D in this league. Plays the tough minutes, not the most lock down guy but he plays with way more patience.
His hip injuries and leg laceration really screwed up his skating, he's not nearly the explosive player he was when he broke in. He may yet win a Norris, his offence has come back, and he's getting to that age where defensemen really figure out their own zone.
Put it this way, the last thing we need is for Toronto to ship him to Edmonton. Back to us would be better
