Yeah, that Kolsch 78 is pretty nice. Leaves my mouth feeling dry and full of spittle though.
I am currently drinking a
Czech Mate by Paddock Wood
Really tasty. Thanks J epworth kendall (sp) for the recommendation!
If any of you are traveling through the lower mainland this summer, I highly recommend any beers by R&B Brewing. They are the original Vancouver microbrew and their speciality seems to be really complex beers without much in the way of a single taste profile. Great non-hoppy pale ale, great bitter IPA, best Cream Ale I think i"ve ever had and a really nice ESB that they call East Side Bitter. If you like Wheat Ales, their Sungod Wheat Ale just won gold at the Canadian Brewing awards for a filtered wheat beer.
Probably extremely limited availability in Alberta, but, if you're coming through the lower mainland, pick a couple up. They all come in 650ml bombers and the cream ale comes in 6pack bottles. They also sometimes fill growlers, which is what I'll be diving into after this aforementioned Czech Mate.
Cheers to summer beers.
