It more seems like Alfredsson picked Detroit over Boston before they could make their Alfie or Iginla decision.

Don't know if talking first means mean honestly. It says Don Meehan called Boston for Iginla but for some reason it doesn't say who contacted who first between the Bruins and Alfredsson.
