It does seem to be a good move for both teams. Let's face it even if the Flames added Seguin to their current roster for nothing...the team is not in the playoffs next year barring some serious luck. Eriksson at this point in his career on ice is more valuable than Iginla or at least equal. So unless the Flames wanted to part with numerous assets he was not a player the Flames could land.

Not only that, the Bruins are in win now mode.

It makes sense for them to acquire players in their prime now, while Chara is still around. Seguin is looking like he will need a couple years to become a true 1st line player. If they can get a player of Eriksson's (who is 27) calibre for him, it makes sense.

Also curious to see what the other pieces are here. Peverley looks like a camp dump, so I'd expect more going to Dallas.
