Sure, there were some greatly profitable organizations, but in the same breath there are plenty of broke owners before the NHLPA got organized.

True that not every organization is making money; even now it is obvious that unless you own one of a handful of teams you will likely lose money, and that is the reason for multiple lockouts. Owners can't control their spending, even under a cap (look at the buyouts for proof).
My point was that it doesn't seem fair to blame the players, who are all pro-union, or particularly to single out Iginla, who I don't believe is any more pro-union than anyone else.
Sounds more like some of the usual anti-union garbage that I'm used to hearing from time to time.
