They have a bunch of guys that they reclaimed... Cleary, Draper,Maltby, Bertuzzi (kept his career going), but I can't think of someone who was okay in Detroit going on to play great somewhere else.
Nope - not Leino. He actually did much better after leaving Detroit, putting up 53 points in 71 games with Philly. He only had 16 points in 55 games with Detroit in the two seasons prior. Mikael Samuelson also did well after leaving the Wings.

To answer your question honestly though - not a lot of players leave that organization in general. They do a good job of holding their key players for the long term. That is a well run organization.
