Baertschi had five games in No. 47 last season, but he’s decided not to change to a lower number.
Numbers aren’t that important to him — although he would probably take 27 if it were available — and he’s already seen fans around town wearing No. 47 Flames jerseys.
“I don’t want to throw somebody under the bus if they’ve bought it,” Baertschi added. “There were a bunch of my jerseys sold last year.
“They paid for it. I like it, so I’m going to keep it.”
