I think this is right but Tom Gilbert could have been a solid top 4 guy if he had any sort of mean streak. The guy was just too soft in the corners and in front of his own net. Good skater, pretty good passer and good hockey smarts just not tough enough in his own end. By the end of his Edmonton run his confidence looked pretty much shot too.
