Surprised at how far Iginla has fallen in the eyes of the crew on here.

As a person, he is still the same guy. And a good one from my seat. Family oriented and community oriented.

As a professional player, I think he still has a little left in the tank. He's slow to get going at beginning of season, so I don't think a shortened season gave him enough time to get rolling. He was written off a few seasons ago offensive wise (69 points in 2009-10) and then bounces back with 43 goals and 86 points in 2010-11.

If he tries to be that guy that runs at full energy at all times, hits everything, fights everything, and plays all over the ice like he is that 25 year old power forward again, then he gets hurt, breaks down, and can't play full seasons anymore (think brendan morrow). Opting to try to play 82 games a season and elongate the career.....i would pick my spots like he does too.
