Man, if Scherzer wasn't 12-0 the Tigers would be in some trouble. Oddly, their starters as a group have a pretty good record as Verlander, Fister, Sanchez are 8-5, 6-5, 6-5 with ERA's under 3.77 and good strikeout to walk numbers. Even Porcello is still 4-6...so starters are 36-21. They are the opposite of a team like the Jays who's starters have been a let down leaving the bull pen to pick up the slack.

The only thing that's holding back Detroit from being an "elite" team is their rubbish Bullpen. Once the starters are done, Detroit's bullpen doesn't spell "game over" to anyone. I honestly think that this weakness will bite them in the ass again in this year's Fall Classic.
Man, if only the Blue Jays can get consistent quality starts from their starters, specially against the division/AL East. Bullpen ERA = 2.92 (2nd best in the AL)...SP ERA = 4.91 (2nd last in the AL).
