I think Pioirier is a medium risk high reward player.

I don't think it was that huge of a risk to take a small flyer on him, but with his size and speed he's got two key cornerstones to make it to the NHL. He won't be here next year. He's got great offensive instincts and he plays with a bit of an edge.

The question is always strength transition and explosiveness and learning the other side of the game.

He's a top 6 player if everything comes together, but I don't really see him as a bottom 6 guy.
