I'm a skating novice so perhaps someone can explain to me why there were comments about his skating being awkward / non-optimal? It looks fine to me and he definitely has speed to spare. Does the low quality of the youtube video make it hard to notice?
Heck, I always thought Lombardi was an awkward skater but the guy could blaze down the ice no problem.
