I'm not going to pretend I know much about how he compares to other players available at that number, but I really can't see much reason to complain.

With that speed, size and reported willingness to battle all over the size combined with what seem at-worst decent hands and apparently even some playmaking ability (based on some scouts calling him "more of a playmaker"), he seems like essentially a sure thing to make it to the NHL, as a bottom-line utility player if nothing else, and those guys can be very valuable.

At the same time, it sounds like the ceiling on this kid is all the way up to a solid first liner. Very easy to see why some of those reports called him a potential sleeper.

Having a guy like this available at all around 22 IMO tells how good this draft was.
