Getting Monahan at 6 makes it a win. That was obviously the most important pick and they got it right. Just getting that pick alone makes it a positive draft in my view.

Not a fan of the Poirier pick at all and reading/watching You Tube clips isn't doing much to change that. Think there were a lot better options there and certainly guys with a lot more upside.

Klimchuk is fine at 28 not great but not bad either.

Kanzig is a puzzling pick as the only thing he seems to have close to being at an NHL level is size.

Late picks are meh, Roy seems like he may be a decent shot with his offense, Harrison is a puzzling pick and the rest are the usual late round type picks.

Again because of Monahan I think it is a successful draft but it seems like it could have been so much better and there is some disappointment largely based on how high my expectations were.
