Shinkaruk Comparables

Chances of getting a decent player are higher for someone with Shinkaruk's draft year production than someone with Klimchuk's/Poirier's. (Well, duh!)
Comparing based on points alone is pretty ridiculous. You're only looking at one aspect of the game. If you start to compare players chosen late 1st round based on size and their relative success, then Poirier is the clear winner. In the 20-30 range, this year, all the players are incomplete. Neither Shinkaruk or Poirier are complete players at this time. Poirier brings size, grit, etc.. Shinkaruk had slightly more points.

Obviously, you could have gone for either one, but Shinkaruk was, in no way, the clear choice.
