I really wonder how he got it in the first place, too. My question is how he manages to retain it. It really bothers me how he uses it as a title behind his name still, when he is just a glorified placement agent.
The guy is a doofus, too. I've seen him totally hammered at industry functions where he makes himself out to be a total assclown. For example, at the Dean's Christmas dinner, he interrupted a conversation I was having with a VP from EllisDon and was practically begging for this guy to toss a few placements his way. It was plain disgraceful. A very different picture than what he tries (and fails) to project onto the young students trying to get a job with the internship office.
And then there is the other point that he won't help you at all if he thinks your grades are too low, when the reality of it is that there are a lot of companies out there that don't use grades as a first priority criteria for interviewing.
He really only serves himself and does a **** poor job of it.
