Probably the right move. Sure he won the Vezina but I don't think you can give six million a year long-term to a guy who does what he did out of nowhere in a shortened season. He could easily come down to earth next year or end up being the next Jim Carey. The KHL really screwed the BJs with that outrageous offer, because now they can no longer sign him to a reasonable deal or trade him for full value (unless MacT is in on it).
