Needs to improve his stride if he's going to be a NHL player. Not many guys can get away with spending so much time on their heels in a game where transition makes or breaks a play. I would be hesitant to pick a player this high with such a flaw in their stride, but that is my opinion. Skating is the foundation of the game and without that I can't see any player becoming top line talent, regardless of their other strengths. Monahan has the size advantage but I believe Lindholm is as good or better in every other aspect. I still lean to Lindholm. In fact, because the Oilers want Monahan so badly it makes me believe Lindholm is the player to take. The Oilers always take the guy that is not the best player available and is more hype than substance.
